• Speaker's Millennium Lecture by John Updike. The PHC partners with the Speaker's Office of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to invite Pennsylvanians to reflect on American values as we go forward in this new century.
  
  
• December 2006 Reception at the Philadelphia Art Alliance. The PHC announced an innovative collaboration with WHYY-TV, Humanities Live.
  
  
• May 2006 Reception at the Society for Contemporary Craft. Renowned dance artist Tania Isaac joined the PHC in Pittsburgh to celebrate our innovative Commonwealth Speaker programs.
