State Initiative on the American Experience
The PHC is committed to keeping the stories of our nation alive so that, together, we can create a hopeful future. Our statewide initiative encourages Pennsylvanians to reflect on stories from American's past that have importance for our lives today and are critical to our future as a people.
"There are stories so powerful that they simply have to be told — stories that remind us of what our nation can and should be; what we, as a people, can and should be," says Executive Director Joseph J. Kelly.
Community organizations and cultural institutions have the opportunity to exercise civic leadership thanks to Our Stories, Our Future. The PHC supports a variety of projects that illuminate current concerns, advance knowledge of the American experience, and express diverse opinions.
