The Commonwealth Speakers program is designed to bring members of the community together to share a life of learning. Host organizations have praised Commonwealth Speakers for bringing in new patrons, promoting intergenerational learning and providing opportunities for people to share their own stories.
The overall goals of the program are to:
- Expand engagement in the humanities by offering accessible programming.
- Provide an experience that fosters an enjoyment of learning.
- Offer a space for participants to explore and discuss history, arts, literature, culture, philosophy and more—and particularly how the ideas integral to these fields both shape and are shaped by the human experience.
