Humanities Grants: Projects of Special Interest

Adams Memorial Library hosted a book discussion program called Tulips, Pearls, and Passion: Discovering Baroque and Renaissance Painters in Recent Fiction
- Attract audiences new to the humanities. Programs should meet the needs of populations with limited access to humanities programs, like residents of small towns, rural regions, or inner-city areas with few cultural institutions.
- Provide learning opportunities for nonprofits. Grassroots organizations with limited resources and little experience with sponsoring public humanities programs are encouraged to apply.
- Involve local experts. People who work at organizations that provide services to the community are especially qualified to judge local needs and interests. Collaborations with these community representatives are crucial for organizations that are not community-based, such as colleges and universities.
