What are my responsibilities?

  • Recruit as large an audience as possible for the presentation.

  • Generate widespread publicity that encourages the public to attend the program. The PHC will provide a publicity packet to assist you.

  • Contact the speaker after your application is accepted to provide him or her with travel directions and to discuss other details, including hotel reservations if required.

  • Arrange transportation to and from the program for any speaker arriving at an airport or train station located within 20 miles of your site.

  • Provide any equipment required by the speaker. Please have all electronic equipment set up and tested before the speaker arrives.

  • Notify the PHC, as soon as possible, of any changes to a scheduled program, such as a date/time change or cancellation.

  • Evaluate the program. Your organization will receive evaluation forms to be completed by your program coordinator and your audience members. These forms must be completed and returned to the PHC within one week of the presentation. Copies of publicity material, such as flyers, newspaper articles, etc., should be sent to the PHC at this time as well.
